As Australia enters its eighth week of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, thousands of the nation's most vulnerable are still waiting for their first dose.
Key points:
One of Australia's largest disability service providers says they are yet to receive a single dose of coronavirus vaccines
Residents and workers in specialist disability accommodation were placed in Phase 1A of the rollout
At the end of March, vaccinations had been administered to 50 residential disability facilities
It is a situation leaders in the disability sector have labelled "shameful", demanding to know when vaccines will be delivered.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Pharmacies like CVS say some people in Virginia Department of Health’s Phase 1b may be eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine in the commonwealth, but not at one of their pharmacies.
However, CVS says it works with state and federal officials to set eligibility requirements, and is working with VDH to expand to all groups in Phase 1b.
An official with the health department says Virginia asked CVS to prioritize people on its wait list and those 65 and older, K-12 teachers and daycare and preschool workers.

Chicago's Top Doctor to Update on COVID-19, Phase 1C of Vaccinations

The news conference will include "an update on COVID-19 data and the continued vaccine distribution in Chicago, including planned next steps and phases," CDPH said.
Arwady hinted at the announcement in a Facebook Live video on Tuesday, saying Chicago is expected to move ahead to its next phase of vaccinations, Phase 1C, at the end of the month, with details to be released Wednesday.
The city is slated to move to Phase 1C, which opens up eligibility to people with certain underlying health conditions and other essential workers not already eligible under Phase 1B, on March 29, Arwady said Tuesday.
"We are intending March 29 to move ahead with 1C, which means moving ahead to the people who have the list of the underlying conditions as well, to be clear, as the frontline workers who are unable to work from home," Arwady said.
