Homes along the massachusetts coast set covered in ice heavy frozen layers that brought down poweres. Crews worked all day to restore service, while plows cleared debris from snowy streets. The storm packing top winds of 60 miles an hour broke through concrete seawalls in the seaside towns of marshfield and scituate. This is where this part of the seawall blew out correct . Thats right. Reporter joe rossi chairs a local Citizens Coalition and says the sea walls are vulnerable, 85 at least 50 years old. Its a ticking tame bomb. Pelley good evening. When a celebrity known to virtually everyone dies suddenly, so it was today with Robin Williams, dominating our national conversation, as everyone from the president to hollywood stars to just plain fans shared their thought, remembered the comedy routines they loved, and the movies they liked the best. Williams battle with depression was well known. Today, the Sheriffs Department in marin county, california, confirmed that williams did commit suicide, and they told us how it happened. Heres john blackstone. Reporter onein williams was last alive 10 30 sunday night. Lieutenant keith boyd is the assistant deputy corner. It is not known at this time when mr. Williams retired for the evening but he went to a different room of the home. Reporter just before noon monday, his personal assistant entered his room and immediately called 911. The caller was distraught and indicated at that time that it was an apparent suicide due to a hanging had taken place and that rig mor

The Government Agency that created a lot of worry among millions of drivers yesterday followed that up by creating a lot of anger and frustration today. People trying to find out whether their vehicles have a potentially deadly air bag defect couldnt get through to the national Highway Traffic Safety Administration on the phone, and the web site wasnt much help either. 247,000 more vehicles were recalled yesterday. An Auto Safety Group estimates as many as 25 million may have the dangerous air bags. Heres jeff glor. Reporter one day after the government issued an urgent letter advising consumers to take immediate action to fix exploding air bags, there was no apparent urgency on the nations auto safety web site.
