The Pennsylvania Attorney General has filed a civil complaint against Andrei Doroshin, claiming he broke a number of laws during his time as the head of Philly Fighting COVID.
In addition to his decade-long ban, Andrei Doroshin must also pay a $30,000 fee for damages, per Attorney General Josh Shapiro.
The CEO of a Philadelphia COVID-19 testing and vaccination service signed a deal with Pennsylvania to shut down his nonprofit and be barred from running charities for the next decade, after prosecutors said he improperly set up a for-profit company to take over the business and commingled their funds.
Andrei Doroshin, the former graduate student at the center of Philly Fighting COVID, the organization that initially partnered with the city of Philadelphia to administer the COVID-19 vaccine in early 2021, agreed to a settlement with Pennsylvania authorities on Friday that requires him to dissolve the organization, destroy all private data collected, and not work in Pennsylvania for the next 10 years.
