A 7-mile peninsula juts out into Lake Erie from the city of Erie, forming a magnificent natural harbor called Presque Isle Bay. Today, two active lighthouses protect the ships plying Lake Erie. The North Pierhead Lighthouse is one of them. When visitors come to Presque Isle State Park, they have favorite places they usually visit.
