Morrison normally only sells to professional plumbers, but as of last Thursday, it’s selling plumbing supplies to property owners dealing with busted water pipes.
‘Almost impossible to find parts’: Houstonians go through great lengths to get plumbing supplies Updated: Tags: HOUSTON – Ed Hyde never fancied himself a pipefitter, yet a supply of pieces and parts plaster a table in his Katy-area home. “Anyone who has a need we try to fill it,” Hyde said, referring to the supply of CPVC pipes that have become as good as gold. As the inventory of pipes and other plumbing parts plummet at Houston-area hardware stores, some have taken it upon themselves to gather and distribute supply to desperate consumers. That’s what a group of neighbors in the Pine Mill Ranch neighborhood near Katy did.
Others have seen them along walking trails and have caught them on their front door cameras. Many told KPRC 2 that the coyotes they encounter either keep moving or just go about their day. “It just sat there in the sun just sunbathing and was just minding its own business,” said Cinco Ranch resident Matt Gelotti. “The coyote didn’t come at us or anything like that it just looked at us and went back down in the culvert,” said Cinco Ranch resident Mike Musslewhite. Wildlife experts said coyotes don’t want to get close to humans. They are usually looking for food, and that they could go after smaller pets.
