ZAGAN-Poland â Col. Jon Meredith assumed command from Col. Ryan Hanson of the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team âIronhorse,â 1st Cavalry Division, in Zagan, Poland May 14. The assumption of command ceremony marked the passing of command of the Ironhorse Brigade from Hanson to Meredith. The brigade is currently deployed across Europe in support of Atlantic Resolve. âIt has been an honor leading these amazing troopers and leaders,â Hanson said. âThis rotation presented the brigade with many unique challenges.
