It took more than a year before authorities announced arrests in the case.Roman s father, Jordan Piper, and stepmother, Lindsay Piper, face charges that include child abuse, poisoning and torture, Placerville police and the El Dorado County District Attorney s Office said on Feb. 4, 2021.
