Alamo Lubbock plans July re-opening
While its website says it s still temporarily closed, the Alamo Drafthouse corporate news website announced this week that plans are under way to re-open Lubbock s location in July.
Beginning on April 28, at least fifteen of our theaters will be brought back online this summer, roughly (re)doubling our footprint to over thirty theaters across the country. It ll also bring Dallas, Omaha, San Francisco, Lubbock, Laredo, and Yonkers back into the lineup, the site reads.
Although a specific date wasn t yet announced, Lubbock was listed for re-opening in July along with locations in Austin, Dallas / Fort Worth and Laredo. ....

Organizers are gearing up to host the Plainview High School All-School Reunion on July 17.
The event had been scheduled for the summer of 2020 but got postponed due to COVID-19. Now the originally-three-day event will last just one day.
The event will begin with a welcome at the Plainview Civic Center and Country Club from 8-10 a.m. on July 17. A tour of Plainview High School is scheduled for 1 p.m. followed by an Alumni Memorial Service in the PHS Library at 2 p.m.
The day will end with an All-School Mixer at the country club from 7-11 p.m. There will be light snacks and a cash bar available. ....
