Walton County commissioners sent a mixed-use proposal for U.S. 98 in Miramar Beach back to the drawing board in the face of community opposition.

Daniel Nelson, whose home is across the residential Sunset Avenue from the proposed business, told TRC members Wednesday that the neighborhood is not opposed to the business itself, but residents do have some concerns about the potential for adding traffic to the neighborhood. “I think everyone’s on board for having them in the community,” Nelson said.
