>> i am joe johns. >> we have to get to breaking news out of southern california this hour. more than 300 firefighters are racing to battle a raging brushfire there. >> this fire broke out around 6:00 last night around corona, california, an hour outside of los angeles, and it already forced evacuations of 300 families. >> i am quite scared for my family, and don't know what i need to do, if i need to get back and start planning evacuations, or what? >> there's new housing developments. if it goes further the other direction, there's a lot of new housing. >> 14 crews are on the screen, we understand right now, and the captain of the riverside fire department joining us on the phone. we understand at 6:00 a.m. when things were seeming to take
>> right now we are operating at normal levels. it is starting to rise hare in wilmington. the rains are starting to come. we are starting to get some wind gusts and stuff like that. but as of right now, we are making plans to evacuate the areas that are close to the delaware river around the wilmington area. >> how many shelters do you have there since you're planning evacuations? >> right now we have two open with a possibility of a third. general population, medical population and pet population shelters. >> how many people are we talking about roughly that could be evacuated? george, are you there? i think we've lost our connection with george jiles. we apologize. okay, i think -- george, are you there? we do not. we'll move on. again, you heard george jiles
