In march dave came and spoke about contracts to case. It was a very interesting meeting. Shirr rein will be visiting them in april and the big work that case is doing right now is on the advocacy campaign. We started this in many ways last spring so about a year ago now. We started it with convening the Community Services contractors and getting them together to build consensus as to what god i am sorry. I am nervous to what we need to support senior cities and contractors in the city. We hosted a Postcard Campaign with 5,000 cards out in the community right now and i brought some copies that i can give to bride get if anyone would like to see the

Under new business we talked about there are a number of budget initiatives moving forward or in the starting in the budgeting process on behalf of older californians and disabled adults and caregivers and there was a hearing on march 26 and it focused on those variety of areas, Adult Protective Services, ihss, and very definitely the expansion of the ssi and ssp work. They were all addressed. Individual pieces of legislation are being developed along those lines to address those topics as we move through the budget process. Calworks was also one of though topics.
