More screen time for babies linked to developmental delays, Japanese study finds

A group of Japanese scientists found that exposing 1-year-old babies to more screen time could lead to developmental delays in communication and problem-solving skills. According to the study, which was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) Pediatrics on Monday, 7,097 mother-child pairs were recruited from 50 obstetric clinics and hospitals across Miyagi and Iwate prefectures in Japan for the study.
