After swapping hands several times, the car's current owner had the car meticulously restored back to its original 2004 Rally Japan specification by Prodrive's Legends Department in 2019. The body was stripped to its bare shell, the fuel tank, brake discs, and brake pads, were replaced, and the car was repainted by the same company that painted the car in 2004 to recreate the original livery.
