For anyone who didnt attend my session, i do a juvenile program where i take kids who have been convicted of graffiti crimes to do Community Service on saturdays. The way i do this is get a public grant from department of public works where we take kids out to graffiti hot spots, we paint over graffiti and they get a reduced fine and credit for probation officers. This is done through a public grant. Its a very effective program. We have been able to turn a lot of kids around, restore justice. We get a lot of positive feedback from the community, a lot of other officers are happy to get the overtime. And as an officer, youre really able to facilitate the program well because you are able to put on a lot of different hats, communicate with probation, you communicate with Traffic Court judges, with Community Referral ....

Maybe somebody loves me. Im always touched by that. Some day bullying will be something of the past. I also wanted to say we need to work and i see representatives here of cities and counties because those same children are on sports teams under the city rec department, they are receiving services and they are in programs with the county and so having this training, having this awareness go beyond the schools is really important. So i thought id mention that. The other thing that we are moving towards in education is more digital. Well see less textbooks and more Digital Learning and with that we are promoting a Digital Literacy policy which deals with a number of issues and im going to go back and look at the draft policy to see how well it deals with the kind of issues rob and your family have dealt with in terms of using the internet safely and being aware of the harm ....

Operationalize it, those things in the Public School who are working so hard to meet the required mandates. Schools are driven by mandates, academic achievement, achievement, enrollment. But the conditions in which the virus grows, if you follow the metaphor that bullying is a systemic virus, then the environment has to change so the virus cannot grow and the only way the environment changes is if youth and adults begin to speak with one voice about changing the social norms that allows it to happen. It makes sense to most of us, you have it khaifrpb the social norms. We must educate. But we must go beyond thinking more rigor will get us better achievement. We have to remember a school is a community and in a xhuept, people look out for each other. Theyve got each others back. How do we begin to promote that idea that we are in this thing together . We believe its through, unfortunately but truly, selfinterest. Kids are driven deve ....

That by making dedicated lanes in the east and westbound directions and that is nearly complete.
