Law today los angeles laws that have passed and sometimes it does practically change the design. Sometimes there are differences in code that really make that change and it might be to the detriment of how we might see the design. I think it would be useful in your analysis to look at some of those projects and where the code has changed and how that can be impacted in the over all project design. Im all fore this kind of 60 day window process because i dont particularly find our discussion as particularly robust until they come back for extension but its worth having a hearing if we choose those projects to review drawings. I recognize the challenges that what they may not people might opt in the process without actually being quite Building Permit ready. Thats the challenge we have when people come for a 3 year entitlement. What they may come for a 3 year extension may not manifest when they do build. Thats something we should ....

Think should be a part of it. I can talk to the principals personally. That help is invaluable. I will tell you i was surprised when we did our first fundraiser. We have raised over 100,000 each year for this. I thought when people would talk about budget cuts and the reasons why we couldnt open the schoolyards, this is true. The use of proceeds i thought would be 100 paying for people to open and close the gates. The majority of the money is going to the ptas, and thats a good thing for them to apply on the weekends to program their school site. Layering an Additional School site is incrementally expensive. A, the funds are there to begin with. But b its not a cost issue, but a principal buyin issue. And i know that principals are talking to other principals. And parents talking. Colleagues, today we will do a hearing and update on a shared schoolyards project. I have worked on this closely over the last two years with hydra mendoza and a number of people as well as rec and park and denny. And other folks from rec park as well. I want to thank all of those involved over the last two years. To give you background, i have talked about this a lot publicly. For me the impetus came up when first in office.
