A salmonella outbreak that has sickened more than 600 people in 37 states has been linked to various types of imported onions, federal health officials said.
Since early August 2021, 652 cases of Salmonella linked to onions have been reported in the United States, 37 of which were in Illinois, with more expected.
There have been no deaths associated with the outbreak
