The us state of florida is bracing itself for what could be the worst storm in a hundred years. There are huge trafficjams across the state as more than five million people respond to evacuation orders ahead of hurricane milton which is expected to hit tonight. Flights between the uk and florida have been cancelled, with the foreign office urging britons already in the state to follow instructions from local authorities. It s moving across the gulf of mexico, where warmer waters have contributed to its intensity. So far, milton has reached a wind speed of 160mph.
