The University of Louisiana Monroe School of Visual and Performing Arts is proud to present the ULM Wind Ensemble in concert on Tuesday, October 3, in Brown Auditorium at 7:30 pm. The ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Nicholas Bratcher, will present their first concert of the season called "Fables and Folklore." The concert will feature musical depictions of famous works of literature and folklore. The concert will be narrated by Dr. Will Rogers.

In the summer of 2023, two ULM Health Studies students, Sohalia Schoen and Mikala Weems, attended two summer research programs offered through the Louisiana State University Health campus in Shreveport and New Orleans. Schoen secured a spot in the immersive eight-week summer research program in cardiovascular disease known as the CURIOUS program. Weems participated in the Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice (IPECP) summer program— Building Health Teams.

The University of Louisiana Monroe will hold the 20th Anniversary edition of its premier lecture and seminar series, the College of Business and Social Sciences Symposium, from October 2-5, 2023. The theme for 2023 is “Celebrating Our Past, Creating the Future.” This year’s event will feature two keynote speakers, a career fair, a cookout, the annual CBSS Brain Bowl, and a host of speaker sessions covering a wide range of topics.
