Greg Abbott said Tuesday night. Abbott said in a statement that he asked for and accepted D'Andrea's resignation and plans to name "a replacement in the coming days who will have the responsibility of charting a new and fresh course for the agency." D'Andrea's resignation will be effective immediately upon the appointment of a successor, according to a copy of D'Andrea's resignation letter that was obtained by The Texas Tribune.

Ned Lamont and Connecticut Attorney General William Tong said Wednesday will decrease and stabilize electric rates into 2023. The deal between the utility and the state will only result in about a $1 average decrease on a typical residential customer’s monthly bill, depending upon how much electricity they use. But UI has also told state officials they will not seek an increase in distribution rates until sometime after May 2023.
