Evelyn Jean Garmoe, 92, of New London, died Monday, November 7, 2022 at New London Specialty Care. She was born August 31, 1930 in Burlington, Iowa to Clarence John and Dora Phyllis Harper Weigert. She was a graduate of New London High School and a member of the New London United Methodist Church. Evelyn spent 67 years working for the New London Journal, beginning at age 16 and later becoming office manager and editor retiring in 2015.
