From third to van ness avenue would stop just shy of the northern side of mission. Both sides of Mission Street would remain in the Southern Police district. The remainder of the Southern Police district as currently as 16th street that there has been substantial public input to both captain flippo and a large portion of that area would like to see down to mariposa. It wasnt mentioned in the final map, its just not in the draft. I dont know why there is any particular reason why that couldnt happen. Right now the Mission District is covered by the uc foot print. The uc campus has its own Police Department. We do assist from time to time when they might have a planned or unplanned demonstration. But it does make sense, i believe, that that border might go as far as down as mariposa because the new uc hospital. The southern most portion of that a butts 17th street. That being said, we know in the bayview there is currently a tremendous amount of growth and there will be continuing to be a tremendous amount of growth with the park being demolished we know there is going to be a 50,000 Square Foot Shopping Center with the greenhouse and it will be connected to ....
