Eleven Australian farmers whose bulls have made a huge contribution on the national herd and many herds across the globe have been added to the Genetics Australia Ho.

David Irwin, left, holds Redhouse 2181 Free Billy Ada, the top heifer for TPI in Europe, while Conor Loughran Genus ABS holds Redhouse 2212 Crimson Isa 2, the No 1 heifer for milk in the UK. In the centre is Alan Irwin Redhouse Holsteins, Benburb, Northern Ireland, has 32 heifers in the top 100 and nine in the top 20 of a UK database of more than 12,000 animals which incorporates all aspects of genetics, performance, health and wellness traits in the dairy herd. The Top 100 UK Holstein females for Dairy Wellness Profit Index (DWP®) ranking can be viewed at www.clarifide.co.uk and is updated in April, August and December after each proof run.

9 Northern Ireland heifers make top 20 of UK database A Northern Ireland pedigree dairy herd has managed to clinch almost half of the top 20 places on a UK-wide genomics ranking. The Top 100 UK Holstein females for Dairy Wellness Profit Index (DWP) ranking is updated in April, August and December after each proof run. Redhouse Holsteins, Benburb, Co. Tyrone, has 32 heifers in the top 100 and an impressive nine in the top 20. The ranking is based on genomic testing data on a range of 14 cow and calf wellness traits from over 12,000 UK animals. The DWP Index allows farmers to better select heifers that will be more productive whilst staying healthy and getting in calf sooner.
