The Gainesville City School Board Tuesday evening swore in two new board members, Steven Pettit and Stacy Young.

There may only be seven teams from the northeast Georgia area still left in the Georgia High School Association playoffs, but there are more than a few compelling storylines coming into Friday's second-round showdowns.

Senior running back Gavin Hall rushed 21 times for 302 yards and three touchdowns in Gainesville's 41-14 win over North Forsyth on Friday.

Not only is it the busiest week of the season in terms of number of games, but Week 11 may be the biggest week of the season with playoff fates hanging in the balance for a dozen teams in the northeast Georgia area.
