I ve interviewed paul ryan several times over the course of my career. and almost every time he would say, talk about how much he missed his kids, how much he missed his family. and he did lose his own father when he was a teen. and that looms large in his life. that said, i do think, you heard that patient tone to his voice. i do think he did have a lot of trouble coping with this president. he would frequently get up on the podium and say, i haven t seen the tweet. the tweet speaks for itself, which is code for, i don t want to talk about this. also, though, you can t disregard his conference, how difficult it was to try to lead a group of people that doesn t really want to be led. and sometimes doesn t want to pass stuff. and sometimes doesn t want to go along with what he and other leadership wanted. they just want to fight. so i think there were several moving parts to this. but you can t, you can t have out the president. i think a lot of people are trying to read more into it ....
