The the backyard. Reporter police tells news 4 the officer was initially off duty but turning on the lights and siren to pull a driver over about 3 30 in the morning, he was immediately on duty. He crashed his cruiser after losing control on greenbelt road and slamming into the fence. Police say slick roads could have been a factor. He was pronounced dead at the scene. We havent had an opportunity to pull the incar camera information yet. We are interviewing people as we speak to find out if that in facts what was happening.
