Congressman Doug Lamborn (R-Colorado Springs) is retiring after nearly 20 years in office, and Saturday’s Republican assembly narrowed the field of candidates.

It may be the most heated battle in the Colorado primary elections: The race for the District 5 seat.

Williams lives in Cedar Falls and, since 2018, has represented House District 76, which covered the Cedar Valley in Black Hawk county and portions of northeast Tama and Benton counties.
