Tributes to former Padgate florist owner who died aged 92
Sam Clark The following is taken from our obituaries section SAM Clark, husband of the later Vera, died on New Year’s Eve at Belong Nursing home, age 92. At the age of 18, he joined the Royal Marines to do his national service. He met Vera and they later married in 1947 at Christ Church Padgate. They were married for 65 years until Vera died suddenly in 2012. Sam and Vera owned Clarks House of Flowers on Padgate Lane for 40 years and and were active Interflora members and had many friends within Interflora.
