Police are on the scene of the collision on the A264 Five Oaks Road near Slinfold. Officers have taped off the carriageway and are warning drivers that it is set to be shut for some time . Sergeant Richards Hobbs of the Sussex Roads Policing unit is one of the officers at the scene. In a post on Twitter, he said: The A264 south of Five Oaks near Slinfold is closed and will be for some time due to a serious collision. An AA traffic report has warned of queuing traffic in the area as a result of the road closure. ....
Five Oaks Road in Itchingfield, near Slinfold, is closed following the collision this morning. Police tape has been stretched across the carriageway and emergency teams remain at the scene. Sergeant Richards Hobbs of the Sussex Roads Policing unit, one of the officers attending, took to Twitter to warn drivers that the road is set to be shut for some time . This afternoon, Sussex Police confirmed that the crash had happened shortly before 8.30am and involved two vehicles. A force spokeswoman said: One of the drivers is in a critical condition and the second driver has minor injuries. The road is currently closed while emergency services are on scene. ....
