Veteran broadcast news journalist and longtime WFPL-FM host Rick Howlett has died. He was 62. Louisville Public Media president and CEO Stephen George says Howlett died Saturday surrounded by family.
Rick Howlett, a respected veteran of broadcast news journalism and a prominent figure at WFPL-FM in Louisville, has passed away at the age of 62 on Sunday.
Rick wore many hats at LPM; most recently he hosted midday newscasts and our talk show, “In Conversation.”
