I have been watching a lot of Wimbledon. Also football, of course. But tennis is the only sport that my 12-year-old is properly into. And it has been a small joy to watch the tennis with him. We hope to get to Wimbledon ourselves one day, to watch the stars smashing it and gorge on overpriced strawberries. For me, one of the main draws of summer sport and culture is the moreish food that accompanies it. As a child, it never occurred to me to question why eating out of our car boot became such a feature in our family.
