MILLERSBURG  A nearly $2.85 million paving project covering about 31 miles of county roads will be done by Melway Paving Co. The Holmes County commissioners approved the contract Monday at the recommendation of county Engineer Chris Young. Funding for the work is from money set aside from a 0.25 percent sales tax. MILLERSBURG  The workforce of Holmes County is paid comparably to other similar businesses throughout the state. And the good news is, those wages continue to trend upward. MILLERSBURG  Holmes County commissioners Monday approved an enterprise zone agreement with Centor Inc. (formerly Owens-Illinois) in Berlin for expansion and creation of 17 new full-time jobs. The company manufactures prescription containers for medication dispensing, and currently has 205 employees and is looking to expand to property across from its location at 5091 County Road 120. Plans are for 37,000 square feet to produce saline solution packaging.
