SoundCloud has added Q&A founder and CEO Troy Carter to its board of directors. He will serve as a strategic advisor to SoundCloud CEO Michael Weissman and the company’s board of directors across all music industry topics, including new business models, artist development and artist services. Carter’s appointment arrives with SoundCloud’s renewed focus on “building deeper, more direct relationships with artists, labels, and music fans,” according to a release.
