A NAIRN musician who played with some of the music greats of the sixties and seventies has died suddenly at his home on the Isle of Sheppey Mark Ellen (72) was a drummer in the band Vanity Fare who had a hit with their song "Hitchin' a Ride" in 1970. Mark was the son of Robbie Ellen and former Nairn District Councillor Chrissie Ellen.
