Almost €50,000 has been seized by the courts from a mystery courier motorcyclist stopped by the PSNI in Newry. Robert Kirk, with a bail address of Regina Park, Jonesborough, was questioned by the PSNI on August 21, 2020. Constable Martin English told Newry Magistrates Court that he approached Kirk to check for insurance on the Old Dublin Road at around 5.45pm. Kirk had a green backpack on which he did not wish to remove. A search was conducted and €49,980 in notes was found.
