Authorities say no charges will be filed in the shooting deaths of a man and woman in a gun battle with Ohio state troopers following a police pursuit and kidnapping last summer. The Montgomery County prosecutor’s office said Friday that a grand jury reviewed the Aug. 2 shooting of 54-year-old Rodney Helman and 51-year-old Elaine Helman and concluded that “the troopers acted lawfully under the circumstances.” Authorities said the two fled an early morning traffic stop in London, Ohio, and later fled in a tractor-trailer cab, kidnapping the driver.
