The Little White School Museum, 72 Polk Street, Oswego, will host a busy July program schedule designed to entertain and inform area residents.

Wheeler served as treasurer of the Kendall County Bicentennial Commission from 1974 to 1976 and was a contributing author to 150 Years Along the Fox: The Sesquicentennial History of Oswego Township, Illinois in 1983.

The Batavia MainStreet group will hold its annual Cocktails in the Park fundraiser from 7 to 10 p.m. July 22 at Appleton Park in Batavia and the Batavia Dinner Table event from 4 to 6 p.m. Aug. 13 on North River Street in the city.

The desk was patented in 1930 by G.H. Abbott and manufactured by Woodruff & Edwards, Inc., of Elgin, Ill., with a cast iron under assembly and maple seat and desktop.

A new donation to Oswego’s Little White School Museum is helping tell the story of the community’s growth and its impact on schools, museum officials said.
