This is the kind of, sort of, shift towards authoritarianism that the current right-wing fetish sizes with hunger. they are so effectively able to work the refs and control the levers of the media narrative. what you are seeing play out here is because the right wing works the rest at home so effectively. through attacks, misinformation, disinformation. just the straight echo chamber pounding away at them. it affects the decision-makers and, the very moves that roland was talking about, before the break. what they start to do, then, is anticipate those attacks. the trial to inoculate against them in order to preserve that very white, outraged audience. for some of these networks and outlets what we are seeing them do is attempt to, sort of, soft and or capitulate to the right wing, in order to get back on to some of the guests that are currently not participating. or some of these leaders that probably don t belong there in the first place. that is the challenge. they end up legitimizi ....

Kind of empathy if you had a baby in the nicu. do you know what i mean? we all have different experiences that lead us to news making decisions. i must say i m really proud of the fact that a lot of news rooms, including mine, have a list of divorce services, the dhs force, i m serving on this task force nationally, where we talk about how we make a more inclusive journalism program. and better news rooms that stick for our entire community. i mean, you do have to have a whole community building type efforts within your community as journalists. and so, i think, always questioning is something that we always do. and really, again, the idea of bringing your full humanity to spaces. knowing that, again, you are a journalist for everyone. you have a certain lens. yes, very thankful we get to do that here, every week on the cross connection. roland, i m sorry, we are way overtime. i know roland, people told me not to say brother on air, so ....
