Once dubbed the most “outstanding solo Jazz performer” by 'Downbeat Magazine,' Christian Tamburr is an award-winning musician accomplished on the piano and trap set as well as world and orchestral percussion. Still, his true talent is exhibited through his instrument of choice, the vibraphone. Tamburr joins the Ziad Jazz Quartet to pay tribute to some iconic jazz vibraphonists such as Lionel Hampton, Milt Jackson, Roy Ayers, Gary Burton, and more. Joining Christian Tamburr on stage will be Ziad Rabie (saxophone), Lovell Bradford (piano), Ron Brendle (bass), and Al Sergel (drums) performing "Flying Home," "Little B’s Poem," and "Libertango."<br/><br/>PERFORMANCE<br/>Concerts are performed at 6 and 8:15 PM. Each concert is 75 minutes with no intermission. Doors open at 5:30 PM for the 6 PM concert and 7:45 PM for the 8:15 PM concert. Presented by Postle Global Solutions and Patt Mostle, BREWJAZZ features four jazz groups from CLT. Alongside live music, BREWJAZZ will host a Brewhouse Market (1pm-5pm), local artists, live painting, Patt Attack Horn Squad, delicious bites from The Hangar, and more!
While this is a free event, we will be collecting money for JazzArts Charlotte. JazzArts Charlotte is an organization designed to foster the jazz community in The Queen City one student at a time. One way that this will be accomplished is that one dollar from every select BREWJAZZ pint will be donated back to the organization.

A master musician for over 40 years, Ron has received seven awards as Jazz Artist of the Year by Creative Loafing Magazine and three as Best Bass Player by Charlotte Magazine. Mitch Butler has been the trombonist and arranger for a number of critically acclaimed musical groups, including the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra (Grammy Award for large jazz ensemble with the release of the recording Book One) and the international award-winning jazz group JazzBonez. Adding the role of producer to his resume, Butler teamed up with Grammy Award-winning producer Richard Seidel in 2017, where he served as musical director for critically acclaimed vocalist Tiffany Austin and her second album Unbroken.
