Jazz at the Bechtler: Tribute to the Greats of the Vibraphone

Once dubbed the most “outstanding solo Jazz performer” by 'Downbeat Magazine,' Christian Tamburr is an award-winning musician accomplished on the piano and trap set as well as world and orchestral percussion. Still, his true talent is exhibited through his instrument of choice, the vibraphone. Tamburr joins the Ziad Jazz Quartet to pay tribute to some iconic jazz vibraphonists such as Lionel Hampton, Milt Jackson, Roy Ayers, Gary Burton, and more. Joining Christian Tamburr on stage will be Ziad Rabie (saxophone), Lovell Bradford (piano), Ron Brendle (bass), and Al Sergel (drums) performing "Flying Home," "Little B’s Poem," and "Libertango."<br/><br/>PERFORMANCE<br/>Concerts are performed at 6 and 8:15 PM.
