High Plains Universal Unitarian Church to shut down | Faith & Values
High Plains Unitarian Universal Church, which was born out of the anti-gay Amendment 2 movement that originated in Colorado Springs in the 1990s, is closing its doors for good after Sunday services, citing dwindling membership, financial problems and a lack of volunteers. The last of its finances will be donated to local charities and All Souls Unitarian Universal Church, the mother church that birthed the offspring of High Plains.
