Team informed trumps team orally, not in a written form, that they have concluded that the Justice Department cant indict a sitting president. Now, this is a conclusion based on existing Justice Department guidelines, guidelines that have been in place since the nixon years. At that time the office of Legal Counselin side the Justice Department concluded that because the president has a lot on his plate that it is not something that should happen.
