Pragyan rover earlier changed its path after coming across a crater on its way
Since the Chandrayaan-3 mission soft-landed on the lunar surface on August 23, the lander and rover have been hard at work, carrying out in-situ scientific experiments.
On why Chdnarayaan-3's Moon mission will come to and soon, it is due to the lunar night, a period when the surface of the moon is not exposed to the sun and the Pragyan rover will not be able to carry out researches.
India beat the likes of Russia, China and the US to become the first state to land a spacecraft on the lunar south pole on August 23.
Chandrayaan-3: It is interesting to note that the picture is the first one that the Pragyan rover has clicked since landing on the moon. Until now, all other images and videos were captured by the Vikram lander.
