The fear of walking Dublin at night: 'Women need the freedom to navigate the city however we want to'
Most women would know what it’s like to walk down a particularly dark street pretending to be on a call or clutching onto their house keys because they know what a big city’s streets can be like after dark. But visual artist Ruby Wallis is leading Women Walk the City: Whistling Through Nighttown — a walk through some iconic Dublin sites to celebrate St Brigid’s Day — in an effort to reclaim the streets with people who are familiar with this fear.
