In 11 of those the dow has made a triple digit move. That shows just how volatile things have gotten here for stocks. You look at the sixmonth time frame, the dow has lost thousands of points. You look at the year, all of the major indices are in the red. The dow is down 9 for the year, the s p 500 down 9. 5 , the nasdaq down more than 7 .
