XQc’s new deal is about as large as some of the most lucrative sports contracts
Twitch mega-streamer xQc has signed a 2-year contract with fledgling streaming platform Kick that's worth up to $100 million, more than some athletes make.
It's official, xQc is now a Kick streamer after announcing it on his latest Twitch stream. Twitch star and long-time streamer, xQc, is now officially part of Kick, a new rival streaming platform where he was offered a $100 million deal to also bring his content to the up-and-coming site.
One of Twitch's most popular streamers said on Friday that he was joining a rival streaming platform, Kick, in a significant blow to the Amazon-owned site and a sign of its increasingly strained relationship with content creators.
As Twitch faces more backlash from creators one of its biggest stars is jumping ship, in what is being touted as the biggest streaming deal ever.
