Friday 12 March 2021 Two men were due to appear before magistrates today charged with drugs offences following a police investigation into cross county drugs trafficking. Ben Heppenstall (21) of Watercroft in Huddersfield was due to appear before Leeds Magistrates Court charged with Conspiracy to Supply Class A Heroin and Crack in the Scarborough area and Possession of a Section 5 firearm.

A WOMAN has been jailed for 16 weeks after she deliberately coughed at police officers.  Lisa Dawn Fisher, 31, of Westbourne Grove in Scarborough, pleaded guilty at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court to two counts of common assault against an emergency worker. On January 30, officers attended an address in Scarborough to investigate a reported breach of coronavirus regulations. While the officers were in conversation with one occupant of a flat, Fisher became verbally abusive and obstructive towards officers before deliberately coughing at them.
