A jury convened by the Estonian Film Institute (EFI) has selected Ove Musting's film "Kalev" for the Academy Award for Best International Feature. In addition, "Sierra", written and directed by Sander Joone, competes in the short animation category.
The Estonian Film Institute has submitted Ove Musting’s film inspired by the real-life events of 1991, when the Estonian basketball team “Kalev” won the last Soviet Union Cup, to the American Film Academy Awards for consideration in the Best International Feature Film category.
