crew. sanj sanjay, good morning to you kind sir. there he is, ready to go. how are you feeling? are you loose? reporter: i feel good, woke up around 3:00 this morning. so did i. reporter: got on my wet suit, trisuit. you can see i don t know if you can see but the swimmers have already started, they started about 30 minutes ago, they re going in waves, they ll be doing this over the next hour or so, this is the first event in the triathlon, swim first about a mile, the bike is 25 miles, the run about six miles all in metric distance so that s why you get the rough estimates there but yeah it s a lot of fun, beautiful day, it s the hudson river. surprisingly clean. a lot of people were worried about that. it looked good this morning, 74.8 degrees is the temperature. you have a crew with you, a whole crew of you guys will be swimming. reporter: we do. they re already lined up there. they re in the white caps
