Dholakia says the current interest in NFTs is likely part of a short term bubble. "So at the moment, if you think of this as a game of musical chairs, we are in the middle of the game and everyone is kind of doing really well. So the game will continue on until someone is left out at the end," he says. He says the long term value of the technology is questionable. "It's really hard to say anything conclusive about this technology at this moment in time." He notes that there are other issues around this technology that need to be resolved.
