located in wuhan, not just wet markets, but a bio lab. people dismissed it, like that's crazy. why do you think the reaction of the media was to wave a hand and ignore it? >> early on, one, people didn't know what to make of the situation. there was a reference to, well, this is sars 2, maybe it's like sars 1, but i also think there was a manufactured consensus. nobody had enough information to say that one hypothesis was certain or almost certain, and that another credible hypothesis was a conspiracy theory. this was a manufactured consensus. i say this, as you know, tucker, i'm a democrat, a progressive. >> tucker: right, i know. >> but i've been saying since early on this is a real possibility. very unfortunate, there was, as you know, tucker, this letter in

doctor, all the time? really? how common is a lab leak that turns into a major outbreak? >> yeah, i certainly would not say all the time. i think, you know, maybe what dr. gottlieb was referring to when the chinese were first trying to understand the original sars, sars-1, there was one small outbreak from the chinese cdc and there was an infected individual in singapore. and one in taiwan. but i wouldn't -- i would not say all the time. in fact, we put a lot of emphasis here in the united states, because we have several biosafety level 4 facilities, including one in boston, one in galveston, texas, near us, and then a couple of others where we provide a lot of assurances to the public that these are carefully controlled. so they do happen, but they're, overall, fairly uncommon. i think the big issue for china right now is the fact that we

don't understand the origins of covid-19. and that's really important to figure out because now this is our third major coronavirus epidemic/pandemic of the 21st century. we had sars in 2002, 2003. we had -- in 2012, that's why we started making coronavirus vaccines because we knew it was inevitable, there was a third one and right on cue, there was. and some -- some not strong evidence, but some evidence that maybe this even began over the summer of 2019. so investigating the origins of covid-19 is absolutely critical. the problem is, we're not going to get there through intelligence. we need on the ground boots in leather epidemiology as they call it. we need to bring virologists. >> if china doesn't give the green light for independent

Doubling rate of coronavirus has now gone down in Rajasthan and the trend indicates that the state is nearing the herd immunity stage.
According to senior doctor Virendra Singh: "There were estimates that COVID-19 cases can go up during winters. However, the continuous dwindling of numbers suggests that we are reaching the stage of herd immunity."
The corona cases reported in Rajasthan totalled 843 on Sunday, taking the active cases to 11,157. On November 27, 3,093 cases were reported, with active cases totalling 28,183.
‘In India, the state of Rajasthan is nearing the stage of herd immunity. Health officials have said that the cumulative COVID cases in Rajasthan in the last one week have been limited to around 1,000.’
